Wedding Entrance Songs: What Our Couples Chose for the Bridal Party and the Couple

By Ryley Smithson, Tennyson Events · Updated October 2026

The most popular wedding party entrance songs on our run sheets are "Crazy in Love" by Beyoncé and "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!" by ABBA, each chosen by 4 of our couples. For the bride and groom's own entrance, "You Make My Dreams" by Hall & Oates, "Where Is My Husband" by RAYE and "You & Me" (Flume Remix) by Disclosure were each chosen by 4 couples.

These counts come from the run sheets of 183 Tennyson weddings, 2017 to 2026, mostly 2024 to 2026. Of those, 53 named a bridal party entrance song and 87 named a couple entrance song. The choices are spread wide: 87 different songs for the party, 72 for the couple. So a "most popular" song here means 4 couples at most. Treat these lists as ideas, not a rule.

How to pick a bridal party entrance song

  • Pick a song everyone knows in the first five seconds.

  • Choose the section of the song, not the whole thing. A 30 to 60 second edit is plenty for a party of six to ten.

  • Walk-in one at a time, in pairs or as a group? Our run sheets include couples who had the party enter one at a time, and one who gave each person a named entrance. The song needs to match that choice.

  • There are so many great, memorable entrances. As long as everybody is keen to have a party, it makes for a great moment. The worst thing you can do is just walk in. Make a spectacle of it. You cannot undersell it. Getting the crowd on their feet and swinging napkins above their heads is a great trick, and a cheer right before the party walks in sets it up.

  • One song for the whole party or a song per pair doesn't really matter, as long as you get into it and there's clear communication about how you want it to go down.

How to pick the couple's entrance song

  • Check the whole song, lyrics included, before it plays in front of nan.

  • Pick the moment you want the room to hear: the drop, the chorus, the first line. We cue it so you enter on that bit.

  • Remixes are popular here. Two of the top three above are remixes.

  • Not sure how to build the sequence? See our guide to planning a reception entrance that builds energy.

Quick answers

What are the most popular wedding entrance songs?

For the party, "Crazy in Love" by Beyoncé and "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!" by ABBA (4 couples each). For the couple, "You Make My Dreams", "Where Is My Husband" and "You & Me" (4 couples each).

What song should the bride and groom walk in to?

Something that feels like you and that a room will react to. Our couples chose everything from Hall & Oates to AC/DC to Disclosure.

What are good songs for wedding party introductions?

Fast, loud and recognisable ones, such as "Shots" by LMFAO or "Let's Get Loud" by Jennifer Lopez (2 couples each). We MC the names over the top. This is where my radio background comes in. In radio we call it hitting the post. Our equipment can take the vocals out of any song to make an instrumental, so I'll run the instrumental while I'm talking, announce the bride and groom by name, then bring the vocals in and bring up the volume and the energy.

Can we have unique wedding reception entrance songs?

Yes. 87 different bridal party songs and 72 different couple songs show most couples go their own way. Tell us your must-plays and we will edit them.

What are good upbeat entrance songs for parents?

Anything bright and warm works. Parents often walk in with the couple's party, so the party list above is a good place to start. Keep it upbeat, but not so fast that older guests struggle to keep pace.
